Fractional CFO / Client Advisory CFO — Titusville, Florida
More than financial reports.
Help business owners make
better decisions about their future.
This is a client-facing fractional CFO position, not an internal CFO position at WMA. You will provide strategic financial leadership and ongoing advisory services to multiple business clients.
The Opportunity
Wealth Management Accounting (WMA) is seeking an experienced financial professional to join our team as a Fractional CFO / Client Advisory CFO in Titusville, Florida. This is a full-time, in-person position at our office located at 815 S Washington Avenue, Suite 203, Titusville, FL 32780.
In this role, you'll serve as a trusted financial advisor to multiple business clients, providing the strategic insight, financial planning, and executive-level guidance traditionally associated with an in-house Chief Financial Officer.
Rather than managing the finances of a single organization, you'll support a portfolio of businesses, helping owners understand their financial performance, strengthen cash flow, evaluate opportunities, and plan for sustainable growth.
At WMA, we believe financial decisions should never be made in isolation. Our connected approach brings together tax planning, bookkeeping, business advisory, and wealth management to help clients understand their larger financial picture.
We're looking for someone who enjoys working directly with business owners, translating financial information into practical recommendations, and building long-term relationships that make a measurable impact.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a fractional or outsourced CFO for a portfolio of business clients, providing ongoing financial leadership and strategic guidance.
- Meet regularly with business owners and leadership teams to discuss financial performance, business challenges, and goals.
- Develop and maintain financial forecasts, budgets, cash flow projections, and long-term financial plans.
- Analyze financial statements, profitability, expenses, and operating trends to identify risks and opportunities.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) that help business owners measure progress and make informed decisions.
- Help clients evaluate pricing, margins, working capital, operational efficiency, and overall financial performance.
- Provide financial insight for significant business decisions, including growth initiatives, financing, capital expenditures, and expansion opportunities.
- Translate complex financial information into clear, actionable recommendations for clients.
- Collaborate with tax professionals to ensure business decisions account for tax planning considerations.
- Work alongside bookkeeping and accounting teams to support accurate financial reporting and analysis.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen financial processes, reporting procedures, and internal controls.
- Manage multiple client relationships while maintaining strong communication, organization, and follow-through.
What We're Looking For
- Significant professional experience in financial management, FP&A, controllership, CFO services, or strategic financial advisory.
- Experience preparing and filing federal income tax returns for individuals and businesses, including familiarity with applicable tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, forecasting, budgeting, cash flow management, and business performance analysis.
- Experience working directly with business owners, executives, or leadership teams on financial decisions.
- Ability to translate financial information into practical, actionable business recommendations.
- Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial audiences.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple client engagements and priorities.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, accounting software, and financial reporting tools.
- Professional judgment, confidentiality, and a client-focused mindset.
- Ability to work collaboratively with tax, bookkeeping, accounting, and financial advisory professionals.
Additional Experience We Value
- Prior experience as a fractional CFO, outsourced CFO, controller, or client advisory professional.
- Experience advising multiple small or midsize businesses.
- CPA, CMA, MBA, or another relevant advanced financial credential.
- Background in public accounting, financial consulting, or business advisory services.
- Experience creating dashboards, KPI scorecards, financial models, and management reporting.
